What We Do

Three things, done properly

We do not side, roof or seal driveways. We restore and stain exterior wood, which means the crew that shows up has done your project a few hundred times before.

Our Process

Five steps, every job, no shortcuts

Most of the failures we get called out to fix come from skipping one of these. Stain over a dirty or glazed surface and it sits on top instead of soaking in, and you are back to peeling inside two seasons.

  1. Step 01

    Powerwashing

    Lift off the grey layer, the dirt and whatever finish is left, at a pressure that cleans without scarring the grain.

  2. Step 02

    Chemical Brightener

    Neutralise the wash and pull the colour back out of oxidised wood. Skip this and the stain goes on blotchy.

  3. Step 03

    Sanding

    Knock down the raised fibres and open the pores so the stain has somewhere to go.

  4. Step 04

    Staining

    Back-brushed into the grain rather than sprayed on and left to sit on the surface.

  5. Step 05

    Final Touches

    Railings, cut-in edges and hardware, then a walk-through with you before we pack up.
